Location ultrasound
If the midwife has doubts about the position of the baby, a position ultrasound can be performed. This ultrasound often takes place around 35-36 weeks.
Most babies spontaneously turn into the cephalic position between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. The midwife can usually assess this externally. If she has any doubts, she can ask if a position ultrasound can be done. The position of the baby, growth and amniotic fluid are then examined. This ultrasound takes place around 35-36 weeks of pregnancy.
This ultrasound is reimbursed by insurance.
For 3.50 euros, the sonographer will take separate photos and images for you, which you will receive via your phone.
